EdTechRoundUp Weekly #28 – TeachMeet Midlands 2009, ETRU Special planning & a general edtech discussion

ETRU WeeklyThis week’s meeting was led by Doug Belshaw. Those of use who attended TeachMeet Midlands 2009 (either physically, or virtually through the FlashMeeting) discussed our experiences. There was some further planning for an upcoming ETRU Special, and then the rest of our time was dedicated to general edtech news, views and opinions! :-)

Many thanks to Tony Sheppard for grabbing the audio from the FlashMeeting!

ETR Weekly #10 – BETT 2009, Wiki textbooks and Education in 2020

This week’s EdTechRoundup Weekly started with a discussion on what education was going to look like the year 2020. We also discussed who’s doing what at BETT 2009 and a little bit about what people can expect from TeachMeet on the Friday night.

We moved on to discuss wiki textbooks and why they haven’t taken off as well as some ideas for Christmas lessons. :-)

Many thanks to Joe Dale for sorting out the audio. :-)

Unfortunately the two wiki pixies were not in attendance, meaning the ETR wiki page for this week’s show is looking somewhat sparse…

ETR Weekly #4 – TeachMeet 2009, Google Docs for online reports & ‘digital permanence’

ETR Weekly

We were back to full strength for this week’s FlashMeeting. In addition, it was great to welcome a couple of North American educators into the mix to give their perspective on all this edtech-nical!

This time around we discussed TeachMeet East Midlands 2009, Tom Barrett’s proposal to use Google Docs for online reporting to parents, the idea and importance of ‘digital permanence’, and much more besides. :-D
